Empowering users with a decentralised approach to data strategy at Naranja X

Naranja X, a fintech financial management company based in Argentina, wanted to move to a decentralised data strategy while dealing with limited engineering resources and growing business demands. As the company shifted toward data mesh and gave individual squads more responsibility, it needed a data platform that would help teams work independently without sacrificing security or governance.

Naranja X adopted Matillion as a low-code platform for building data models on AWS and Snowflake. Matillion enabled both technical and non-technical users to create complex transformations, and the company now has more than 200 data models created in Matillion, 24 data projects in production, and more than 100 business analysts who have completed the mentoring program. The platform also helped speed up delivery and build a culture of autonomy across teams.
