Cisco Cloud Security (Cisco) faced an aging, single-database analytics infrastructure that couldn’t scale, fragmented reporting across teams, and lacked integration with external visualization tools. To modernize its data stack, Cisco selected Snowflake as the cloud data warehouse and engaged Matillion, deploying Matillion ETL for Snowflake to replace the legacy ETL processes.

Matillion implemented a modular, GUI-driven ETL built for Snowflake with pre-built connectors (RDS, SFDC, Zuora, S3), automating transformations and standardizing data models for unified reporting and faster onboarding. As a result, Cisco’s environment now supports broader visualization and analytics, improves data quality and deployment speed, and lowered ETL application spend by roughly 84% after switching from Informatica to Matillion.
