Indicia, a data‑solutions driven customer engagement company, was commissioned to build a marketing analytics platform for a client sitting on multi‑billion row, multi‑terabyte first‑party and behavioural data. The data lived in siloed projects and required time‑consuming manual analytics and integration with Alteryx, Tableau and Adobe Campaign, so Indicia selected Amazon Redshift as the cloud warehouse and evaluated vendor Matillion—specifically Matillion ETL for Amazon Redshift—to handle ETL and orchestration.

Indicia implemented Amazon Redshift together with Matillion ETL for Amazon Redshift to centralize data, build orchestration and transformation jobs, and make S3 a core part of the data lake. Matillion’s SQL‑based, visual tooling sped development, enabled instant sampling and debugging, and its Task History helped identify slow jobs—saving days of processing time—while improving data granularity and enabling new analyses; Matillion is now being rolled out across Indicia’s AWS capabilities.
