MRH Trowe, a German-based insurance broker and risk management firm, was spending significant time manually extracting insurance policy data from PDFs and paper documents. The process required specialized training, involved moving data through Excel and CRM tools, and was prone to human error. MRH Trowe worked with Matillion and Snowflake’s Document AI feature to address the problem.

Using Matillion and Snowflake’s Document AI, MRH Trowe automated document data extraction and introduced quality gates to improve data accuracy. In a test with 60 insurance policies, the pipeline completed the task in 50 seconds, and the company said the change saved 4,166.67 hours of labor and €135,416.67 annually across about 50,000 documents.
