Pease Park Conservancy cuts data management from hours to minutes with Matidor

Pease Park Conservancy, a nonprofit managing an 84-acre urban park in Austin, Texas, faced a significant challenge in tracking field operations. Their staff relied on inefficient pen-and-paper methods and memory to log issues like invasive species, graffiti, and maintenance needs across the large, open-access parkland. The City of Austin had recommended conventional GIS software, but as a lean nonprofit, they could not afford the high cost or the specialist required to operate it. They needed an affordable and easy-to-use map-based platform, which led them to the vendor Matidor.com.

Matidor provided a live map-based operations platform that replaced the manual system. The solution enabled staff to log incidents with GPS tags in real time, assign tasks, and view all data on a centralized map. A key feature was the development of custom Task Templates to distinguish between different work types. The implementation reduced data management time from hours to minutes and provided the team with a modern, versatile tool to effectively manage all park operations.
