A MathWorks Case Study
Zeekr, a premium EV manufacturer in China, needed to accelerate software delivery for software-defined vehicles while managing growing functional complexity, tighter safety requirements, and the challenge of decoupling software from hardware. The company also wanted to balance agile development with the automotive V-model, and it used MathWorks tools including Simulink, Embedded Coder, MATLAB, System Composer, and Polyspace to support its vehicle OS and service-oriented architecture work.
MathWorks helped Zeekr build an integrated model-based development toolchain and a custom SOA maintenance tool, SOMOC, enabling model-based development, code generation, simulation, automated testing, and safety verification. With MathWorks solutions, Zeekr improved virtual vehicle simulation, shortened development cycles, reduced costs, and strengthened delivery quality through DevOps and CI practices; the case study notes that roughly 90% of automated driving algorithm tests are run in simulation, helping front-load validation and accelerate feature iteration.
