RV College of Engineering Integrates MATLAB into Mathematics Curriculum to Equip Students with Industry Skills

RV College of Engineering worked with MathWorks to strengthen experiential learning in mathematics and better prepare engineering students with industry-relevant skills. The college needed a way to move beyond theory and give students hands-on access to computational tools both on and off campus, while also helping faculty build the skills and resources needed to teach with MATLAB.

MathWorks helped RVCE integrate MATLAB, Simulink, MATLAB Online, and MATLAB Grader into its mathematics curriculum, supported faculty training, and enabled browser-based access for students. The result was greater student motivation and collaboration, automated grading and feedback, and stronger career readiness, with more than 4,500 students enrolled in MATLAB Grader and over 6,600 students plus 200 faculty members using MATLAB.
