NASK - Customer Case Study

NASK, the Polish National Research Institute for Cybersecurity and AI, faced the increasing challenge of defending against distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) cyberattacks, which are common, relatively easy for adversaries to generate, and cause significant disruption and financial losses. To combat this, they turned to vendor MathWorks, using MATLAB to develop and implement their solution.

Using MATLAB, NASK researchers developed a real-time detection and mitigation system called FLDX, based on linear algebra and machine learning algorithms. The MathWorks-powered solution can detect attacks within 5 seconds and begin mitigating them within 10 seconds, effectively protecting nationwide networks and clients such as schools and vaccination services from malicious traffic.
