Musashi Seimitsu Industry Reduces Development Time for Factory Energy Management System Through Model-Based Design

Musashi Seimitsu Industry, a global auto parts manufacturer, needed a faster, lower-risk way to develop its factory energy management system (FEMS) while reducing the costs and delays of manual coding and hardware testing. Vendor MathWorks supported the project using Model-Based Design tools including Simscape Electrical, Optimization Toolbox, and Embedded Coder.

MathWorks enabled Musashi Seimitsu Industry to validate the FEMS early through simulation, identify likely failure points, and optimize battery group control to extend storage battery life. By automatically generating production code for Mitsubishi Electric PLCs, MathWorks helped reduce manual processes, development time, and human error, improving development efficiency and lowering overall costs.
