A MathWorks Case Study
Manipal Institute of Technology, the engineering college of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, wanted to revise its curriculum to produce more industry‑ready graduates and improve its global standing. To expand access beyond lab‑bound courses, MIT partnered with MathWorks to introduce MATLAB and Simulink across programs early in the curriculum.
MathWorks provided a Campus‑Wide License and regular on‑campus training, allowing MATLAB and Simulink to be taught in the first‑year CSE 1001 course (introducing about 2,000 students annually) and in upper‑level courses, student competition teams, and faculty research. As a result of MathWorks’ solution, students gained 24/7 access to industry‑standard tools, improved preparedness for graduate studies and industry roles, increased capstone projects and publications, and a stronger competitive edge over peers.
