A MathWorks Case Study
Bosch, the world's largest independent supplier of automotive parts and ECUs, needed a toolchain to support the SYS.3 System Architectural Design process and meet Automotive SPICE requirements while handling a high volume of projects with significant design variance. To ensure customer account acceptance and consistent system architectures, Bosch adopted MathWorks solutions including Simulink, System Composer, Requirements Toolbox, Stateflow, and Simulink Report Generator.
MathWorks’ Simulink product family and System Composer were used to automatically build system architectures, create interfaces, import external interface definitions, and link requirements via database import, while Requirements Toolbox managed allocation and traceability. This enabled reuse of reference models, automated model creation, and easy transfer of designs across projects; Bosch successfully passed an Automotive SPICE assessment, achieved high user acceptance at customer accounts, and scaled project volume through automation and model reuse.
