Sonos partnered with Mathison to address a company-wide need to become more inclusive and improve a fairly homogenous workforce. The team wanted to reshape the systems and processes used to recruit, interview, and hire candidates, starting with creating more structure and reducing bias in the interview process.
Using Mathison’s Opportunity Index and training platform, Sonos built a consistent interview foundation, created a reusable interview template aligned to core values, and rolled out company-wide interviewing best practices and bias-awareness education. Mathison helped Sonos establish shared language and transparency across the organization, with measurable engagement from 230+ new team members in People, Workforce, and Development and 730 top-of-funnel candidates sourced.
