U.S. Publisher - Customer Case Study

U.S. Publisher worked with Mather Economics to reduce churn from its digital subscriptions by using predictive modeling and email targeting. The company needed a way to identify subscribers showing signs of disengagement and improve retention before they canceled.

Mather Economics installed Listener and integrated it with the publisher’s tech stack, then ran a 4-month 50/50 A/B test focused on users with decelerating engagement. Mather Economics created personalized emails based on each user’s content preferences, and the test group saw churn improve by 17% and engagement increase by 8%, with churn falling from 1.73% in the control group to 1.44% in the targeted group.
