The retailer was looking for a smarter way to manage pricing decisions over time and reduce the manual effort involved in its internal process.

Mather Economics used internal modeling outputs to verify optimal clearance discount pricing over time and helped automate a process that had previously required significant manual work. This allowed the retailer to apply the modeling approach to hundreds of products, and Mather Economics also developed separate price modeling to measure how price changes affected sales volumes.
