Arlington Public Schools had outgrown its proprietary CMS, which lacked a standard export function. The district needed a new, accessible platform that could provide individual identities for each of its 48 schools while maintaining a cohesive district voice, all managed by staff with minimal technical expertise. Materiell was engaged to solve this challenge.

Materiell built a centralized WordPress multisite platform with a custom block-based editor, allowing school staff to easily create and manage pages without coding. They successfully migrated over 200,000 pages from the old system using custom scripts. The solution provided a scalable, WCAG AA-compliant site for every school in the district, hosted and managed by Materiell on an ongoing basis.
