Case Study: Odette Lunettes achieves rapid, sustainable, personalized fast-fashion eyewear with Materialise

A Materialise Case Study

Preview of the Odette Lunettes Case Study

Personalized and Sustainable Fast Fashion for Eyewear Odette Lunettes X Tom Boonen Collection

Odette Lunettes, a Belgian independent eyewear brand, needed to launch fashionable, technically capable sports frames while maintaining sustainable, efficient production. They partnered with Materialise and chose additive manufacturing (3D printing) using bio-based PA11 (Ultrasint® PA11) to meet tight design, performance and sustainability requirements.

Materialise supported design, functionality and manufacturing, enabling the Odette Lunettes X Tom Boonen collection to go from concept to collection in two months (compared with up to a year for traditional methods). The 3D-printed PA11 frames—offered in two sizes and three colors—delivered lightweight, durable, customizable eyewear, reduced material waste and over-production risk through on-demand manufacturing, and generated positive customer response.
