Frydryszik Manufacturing + Technical Services (FMTS), a German engineering firm, was contracted to build metal 3D printing machines for a Chinese client but had little prior additive manufacturing experience and a tight timeline. FMTS engaged Materialise for expertise, software and hardware tools — including the Materialise Magics 3D Print Suite, the Materialise Control Platform and the Materialise Build Processor — plus consultancy support to ramp up production quickly.

Materialise delivered on-site consulting (eight visits), installed the Materialise Control Platform and provided advanced slicing and toolpath software, enabling FMTS to control laser-based AM machines, log process parameters, and transition from R&D to market. The result: within four months of the order FMTS had the Control Platform installed and printed their first metal parts, gaining fast development progress while retaining the ability to build on Materialise know-how and their own IP.
