Nanyang Polytechnic Streamlines its AM Production Process

Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP)’s Additive Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC) needed a way to manage and sustain its growing 3D printing activities while training students and industry partners in AM best practices. To support production-grade use—particularly for aeronautic and medical applications that require strict control and traceability—AMIC partnered with Materialise and adopted Materialise Streamics (integrated with Materialise Magics) to standardize and scale its processes.

Materialise implemented Streamics as a centralized AM production management system, tied to Magics for data preparation, to optimize order management, platform preparation, AM machine scheduling and internal communication. The result is a streamlined, controlled and traceable AM workflow that improved operational efficiencies (order throughput, platform utilization and scheduling) and accelerated industry adoption—helping NYP’s AMIC become a key node in the national additive manufacturing ecosystem.
