How Fiberneering Reduced Their Data and Build Preparation Time by 90%

Fiberneering, a Dutch 3D printing factory that produces large SLA/DLP-style parts, faced very long data and build preparation times because complex interior structures generated enormous files — preparing a single part took almost 6.5 hours. They were already using Materialise’s Magics for some tasks, but internal lattices were created in a separate tool, creating slow workflows and frequent waits.

Materialise consolidated the workflow by moving hollowing and structure generation into Magics, deploying its Slice-Based Structures Module and recommending Dode‑Thin unit cells (replacing RBCC) and the Standard DLP Build Processor. As a result, Materialise reduced overall data and build preparation time by 90%, cut manual work time by 99.4%, and lowered unit-cell triangle counts from over 5,000 to about 250 — dramatically speeding file handling and boosting Fiberneering’s productivity.
