How 3DP Has Become Business as Usual for Labman Automation

Labman Automation, a UK-based designer and manufacturer of bespoke laboratory robotics, regularly faces tight-space, high-precision challenges that demand custom fixtures and fast turnarounds. To accelerate prototyping and enable designs that would be impractical with traditional methods, Labman partnered with Materialise and adopted Materialise’s OnSite 3D‑printing service.

Using Materialise’s OnSite to submit CAD, get quotes and receive finished parts in a matter of days, Labman can rapidly iterate prototypes, shave days off design cycles, and deliver replacement or small-series production parts (including PA-AF and stainless-steel components) that are suitable for final machines. The result is faster proof-of-concept, more cost-effective projects and improved aesthetics and functionality for clients—making 3DP a normalized, business-as-usual capability for Labman thanks to Materialise.
