HANK Exoskeleton and AM Improve Patient Outcomes During Gait Rehabilitation

GOGOA, a Medtech company, needed a way to create a personalized lower-limb exoskeleton quickly for gait rehabilitation, while meeting high standards for flexibility, finish, and medical certification. The company turned to Materialise and its PA 12 Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) 3D-printing capabilities to support rapid prototyping and small-series production.

Materialise helped GOGOA produce around 15 customized 3D-printed parts for the HANK exoskeleton, enabling fast design iteration, easier integration with metallic components, and smoother manufacturing. The result was a lightweight, patient-specific device that better matches gait patterns and improves rehabilitation outcomes, while also supporting certification efforts and future versions like HANK+.
