Five Software Packages Lead to One Majestic Jaguar

KISMET Yatch commissioned a striking 4‑m long, 2‑m tall jaguar sculpture to adorn the bow of its 100‑m luxury yacht, a complex additive‑manufacturing challenge that required large‑scale printing, part splitting, reliable supports and tight lead times. Materialise supported the project with its engineering, manufacturing and software platform — including Materialise 3‑matic, Materialise Magics, Materialise e‑Stage, the Materialise Build Processor and Materialise Streamics — to make the concept 3D‑printable and production‑ready.

Materialise used its Mammoth stereolithography printers, automatic support generation with Materialise e‑Stage, sliced the build into more than 5,000 layers via the Materialise Build Processor, and tracked parts and schedules with Materialise Streamics; Magics handled STL repair, part splitting, connector design and FormFit packaging, while finishing and internal reinforcement ensured seaworthiness. The result: a successfully printed, polished and assembled 4×2‑m jaguar installed on KISMET Yatch, delivered with reduced lead‑time risk, precise build control and secure transport.
