Integrating a Work Breakdown Structure with MindView in the project management process at Suez Consulting

SUEZ Consulting, an engineering and consulting firm, faced a challenge in standardizing and scheduling its diverse range of projects. Their existing tools, Microsoft Excel and Project, were either limited for scheduling or difficult to use. They sought a user-friendly solution from vendor MatchWare that could integrate the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) method into their process and was accessible to all project managers.

The solution was the implementation of MatchWare's MindView software. The team particularly valued its graphical WBS representation and the seamless switching between the WBS and Gantt chart views, which saved significant time. This integration eliminated data re-entry and allowed for easy export to MS Office applications. As a result, SUEZ Consulting successfully standardized its project managers' work methods and now also uses MindView to create project charters.
