Medisca, founded in Quebec in 1989, is a global supplier of compounding pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients and equipment serving pharmacies, hospitals and other healthcare providers. Rapid growth, a doubling R&D team, an expanding product portfolio and mounting regulatory scrutiny exposed weaknesses in Medisca’s largely paper-based, multi‑system quality processes, making audits, supplier management and consistent global documentation increasingly difficult.

Medisca implemented MasterControl (Documents, Training, Audit, Risk, Process and Supplier modules, with upgrades to v11.7) as a hosted, integrated quality-management platform and tied it into inventory systems. The solution standardized documentation across sites, sped audit preparation and retrieval, improved supplier compliance (even requiring some suppliers to adopt MasterControl), and delivered the flexibility and traceability Medisca needed to scale and enter new markets.
