Bio-Imaging Technologies (BITI), founded in 1990, is the world’s largest dedicated provider of medical image management for clinical trials, having processed over one million images across multiple therapeutic areas. Faced with FDA/ICH scrutiny and roughly 40 client audits a year, BITI struggled with manual revision control and training records kept in spreadsheets and binders, which produced audit findings, version-control errors, and slow, error-prone document routing.

BITI implemented MasterControl’s electronic document and training management solution, training administrators and rolling the system out to more than 200 global users. MasterControl automated SOP distribution, revision control, training sequencing and grading, secure audit trails, and reporting; the result was dramatically improved efficiency, elimination of multiple document versions, ready-to-print training records for auditors, and consistent, trackable global compliance.
