Toner Machining Technologies, a manufacturer of hydraulic workholding fixtures and precision parts, faced the challenge of meeting demanding design and build schedules for highly complex, custom components that required extremely tight tolerances. To efficiently manage their mix of high-volume production tooling and low-volume, high-precision aerospace and defense work, they turned to Mastercam CAD/CAM software for their CNC programming and manufacturing process analysis.

The solution, implemented with support from their Mastercam reseller Barefoot CNC, utilized Mastercam's Dynamic Motion technology. This allowed for significantly higher material removal rates, reducing machining times by 25 to 50 percent. The seamless integration with SOLIDWORKS for design and the use of high-speed toolpaths enabled them to achieve thin walls and tight tolerances with minimal tool breakage.
