M.R.S. Machining, a precision job shop specializing in small-batch parts for industries like aerospace and medical, needed to maximize profits by reducing expensive tool and machine wear while maintaining high quality. They partnered with Mastercam to tackle this challenge.

Mastercam's Dynamic Motion technology was implemented, along with OptiRough and Debur toolpaths. This solution significantly extended tool life, dramatically reducing insert costs, and saved finishing time by automating deburring, which also improved operator safety. The president noted that the tool savings alone paid for the Mastercam software within a year.
