CreateAskate, a program founded by Paul Schmitt, faced the challenge of introducing middle and high school students to manufacturing and encouraging careers in the field. Mastercam provided an intuitive and adaptable software platform for the CreateAskate program. Its simulation and model prep tools allowed students to design and safely simulate the machining of their skateboards. The solution gave students a relatable entry point into manufacturing and equipped them with technical skills using the world's most widely used CAD/CAM software, providing a significant advantage for their future careers.
