Mastek worked with a large education MIS solutions provider serving 22,000+ UK schools, local education authorities, further and higher education. The customer needed to move beyond a Windows-based solution as frequent requirement changes were causing regression failures, security vulnerabilities, performance issues, technical debt, and difficult quality control and root cause analysis across an enterprise architecture.

Mastek developed and supported a web-based cloud product suite and delivered a broad testing service covering test automation, built-in quality practices, unit/integration/system/UAT testing, source code analysis, exploratory testing, sanity checks, regression, security, load testing, and UAT support. The results included 40% savings in testing cost, 60–70% reduction in regression effort, 90% of the test pack automated, reduced technical debt, and load tests that identified non-performant areas for improvement.
