The City of Albuquerque Economic Development Department (CABQEDD) faced the challenge of manually disbursing a $10 million grant program to support local small businesses within a very tight deadline. Their outdated process required excessive manual effort for application intake and processing. Partnering with Mastek, the department needed a more automated and efficient solution to manage the entire grant lifecycle and meet its expedited goals.

Mastek designed and implemented a grants management application using Salesforce Sales Cloud with a Community portal and DocuSign. This solution automated workflows, provided application status tracking, and enabled electronic signatures. As a result, CABQEDD processed over 1,600 applications and successfully disbursed all $10 million in grants to 1,000 small businesses, helping them stay operational during the pandemic. Mastek's implementation also provided the department with comprehensive reporting capabilities and a 360-degree view of its constituents.
