VC Medios, a Latin American cable network operator based in Caracas, needed to efficiently manage and automate the movement of file-based content between international locations and internal workflows while transitioning from tape-based operations to tapeless, digital delivery. To address this challenge, the company turned to Masstech and its MassStore solution.

Masstech implemented MassStore to connect archive, post-production, QC, and playout workflows across VC Medios’ sites in Caracas, Bogota, and Sunrise, with broad integrations into systems from Avid, Grass Valley, Dalet, and Imagine Communications. The result was seamless media and metadata movement, easier expansion with new systems, and the elimination of Digital Betacam tapes, saving VC Medios an estimated $300,000 per year in tape, shipping, maintenance, and physical space costs.
