High Performance Network Lets PRGX offer Big Data Analytics to Customers

PRGX, a global leader in accounts payable recovery audit services with roughly 1,400 employees across about 30 countries, faced a decade-old, inflexible network that couldn’t scale to meet massive, variable data volumes (approaching several petabytes) or strict client deadlines. VP Jason James sought a more flexible, scalable networking partner after 14 years with a legacy provider, and brought in Masergy to address the need for on-demand bandwidth and global reach.

Masergy deployed and manages PRGX’s private global MPLS network, providing bandwidth-on-demand bursting, 24x7 live support, and strong project implementation. The new setup let PRGX drive much higher bandwidth to sites in tests, handle data bursts to meet deadlines, and accelerate distributed Hadoop processing—enabling a new big data analytics service for customers and contributing to PRGX’s placement on the 2015 InformationWeek Elite 100.
