A Marvel Case Study
Laboratoria is a nonprofit founded in Lima in 2014 that trains people—especially women from underserved backgrounds—in engineering and UX to address chronic gender and socioeconomic gaps in tech and design across Latin America. Operating in Santiago, Lima, São Paulo and Guadalajara, they face the industry-wide challenge of limited access to tools, training and opportunities for women and other underrepresented groups.
To scale UX education and corporate training, Laboratoria adopted Marvel for prototyping, handoff and userflows—valued for its ease-of-use, collaboration features and integrations with Slack and Lookback, and for running on donated laptops. The tool helped them teach research, testing and design efficiently; they’ve launched a UX course (about 200 graduates to date), placed alumni at major regional companies, and continue to drive strong outcomes alongside an overall ~80% employment rate for their technical graduates.
