Arcadia Unified School District, a 9,600-student K-12 district in California’s San Gabriel Valley, needed an alternative to Microsoft Publisher after switching to Google Apps for Education and rolling out Chromebooks. Students had to create newsletters, posters, and other visual documents without desktop software, so they searched the web for a cloud-based option.

Arcadia Unified School District chose Marq, which its IT team said worked like Publisher in the cloud and integrated naturally with Google Docs. The district later upgraded to EDU Premium for more storage, Google Classroom integration, additional teacher templates, and administrative control. Marq was easy to deploy, and the district said it saved dozens of hours in support time while students created professional projects from their browsers.
