Reducing Workplace Injuries by More Than 60 Percent

Bemis Company’s New London, WI plant needed a better way to communicate safety information across a large, multi-facility operation. Traditional cork bulletin boards were outdated, hard to keep current, and failed to capture employee attention—putting important safety metrics and alerts at risk of being missed.

Partnering with The Marlin Company, Bemis installed a 50" Electronic Communication Station (ECS) in a high-traffic locker room to display animated safety metrics, alerts, company news and wellness content. The dynamic system increased awareness and engagement, helped reduce workplace injuries by more than 60%, earned the plant a CEO Safety Excellence Award, and prompted plans to expand the program to additional break rooms.
