Promoting Safety Awareness with Digital Signage

Mount Pleasant Waterworks (MPW) is a 130-employee water and wastewater utility serving 38,000 customers in Mount Pleasant, SC, where safety is critical for field crews who perform trenching, confined-space work and other high-risk tasks. MPW needed a more effective way to reach employees who aren’t at desks with timely safety, emergency and wellness information.

MPW deployed Marlin’s Electronic Communication Station (ECS) in the canteen to display rotating safety alerts, OPCON emergency notices, wellness promotions and live content like weather and OSHA counters. The dynamic signage made messages easier to update and schedule, boosted employee engagement and emergency preparedness, increased participation in wellness programs, reduced manual posting and email volume, and became a primary venue for internal communication.
