Enhancing Employee Communications through Digital Signage

Advanced Disposal, the fourth-largest solid waste company in the U.S. with over 200 operating locations, needed a better way to communicate with 120 employees at its Detroit facility. Relying on flyers, word of mouth and special meetings made it hard to consistently reinforce safety guidance and reach drivers who spend most of their day on the road.

Partnering with Marlin, General Manager Terry Schweitzer installed Marlin’s Electronic Communication Station (ECS) in breakrooms and by time clocks to deliver PDFs, slides, videos and scrolling safety messages. ECS’s easy content posting, remote scheduling and targeted play times let Terry reach all shifts, reduce meetings, keep messages fresh, and improve retention—drivers now stop to watch screens and engage with safety content, leading to clearer, more consistent employee communications.
