A Markstein Case Study
The Birmingham Business Alliance, along with multiple community partners, faced the challenge of promoting collaboration and workforce development in the tech sector following a groundbreaking regional economic study. They needed to engage both employers and talent across greater Birmingham. The vendor Markstein was engaged to develop a community engagement strategy.
Markstein built the "building (it) together" brand for the initiative, creating campaign assets, managing social channels, authoring blogs, and coordinating events and media outreach. This solution achieved significant results: Markstein secured approximately 50 earned media hits within the first six weeks. The report was shared with over 1,000 residents, and the study's findings were incorporated into the City of Birmingham's strategic plan, leading the Birmingham Business Alliance to establish a dedicated team for a multi-year commitment to the strategy.
