A Markstein Case Study
The Alabama Humanities Foundation, a customer working with vendor Markstein on brand and creative services, faced the challenge of reimagining and rebranding its annual Alabama Book Festival. They needed to create a completely new name and visual identity for this celebration of literature and the humanities.
Markstein developed the new name "Anabranch," a term for a stream that rejoins a river, and built a comprehensive visual identity around it. This included a new logo applied to various materials and a unique illustration based on the theme "Sharing Our Stories." The vendor's work successfully established a distinctive and memorable identity for the festival, creating a cohesive brand experience across all touchpoints and helping to position Anabranch as a refreshed, engaging event.
