A Markowitz Communications Case Study
The George A. Romero Foundation engaged Markowitz Communications to promote the kickoff event for the 50th anniversary of the film "Night of the Living Dead." The challenge was to generate significant publicity for a screening in Pittsburgh that would honor the legacy and historical impact of this independent cinema landmark.
Markowitz Communications implemented a creative strategy that utilized live zombie actors to create memorable and highly shareable media moments, including a press conference and a morning show appearance. This approach, combined with targeted media outreach, resulted in over 300 news stories and more than 200 million total impressions for the event.
