L.A. Care Health Plan faced mounting corrective action plans from the State of California because its provider directory data was poor and frequently out of spec, causing member inconvenience and potential regulatory fees. Inaccurate provider records meant families sometimes had children assigned to different providers and locations, creating extra time and cost for care.
