A U.S.-based, multi‑billion global power management and manufacturing company was struggling with a data explosion from acquisitions and product growth: hundreds of disparate ERP systems (multiple TBs each), multiple vendors and versions, and slow, error-prone relational + ETL processes. After three years only four ERPs had been integrated, leaving costly data silos and preventing a timely, 360-degree view needed for faster financial reporting and confident decision-making.
Following a MarkLogic proof of concept, partner LTI implemented a MarkLogic data hub that ingests data as‑is, eliminating costly modeling and migration and enabling full ERP integration on a dramatically accelerated timeline (LTI planned completion in six months). The single‑platform solution—predicted to be 40× faster than relational approaches—provides schema flexibility and versioning, strong governance and provenance, scalability for tens of thousands of transactions per second, reduced costs, and a consolidated, up‑to‑date 360° view for better reporting, analytics and risk-aware decisions.
