A MarkLogic Case Study
The Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for England and Wales (ICLR), the authoritative publisher of English case law, faced growing online competition and relied on third‑party licensing and an inflexible 2011 platform that kept content in separate silos (file store and SQL index cards). To regain control, reduce costs, and become the primary research source, ICLR needed an integrated, fast, and user‑friendly digital delivery platform with better search, personalization and faster time to market.
ICLR engaged 67 Bricks to build a MarkLogic‑based platform in six months that unified content and metadata, enabled rich built‑in search (predictive and faceted), enriched document views, personalization and alerts, and agile content ingestion. The new public site improved the research experience, supported Open Justice, sped product rollout, and provided scalable, secure infrastructure for future growth.
