A MarkLogic Case Study
Cisco faced rising customer expectations for Google-like search across 30 years of technical documentation—spanning legacy products and acquisitions—and struggled with disparate, dense content that hindered findability and drove tens of thousands of support cases. The company needed a way to consolidate and make searchable more than 80,000 URLs of technical content, including tables and charts, while ensuring security and scalability.
Cisco built a Content Hub on the MarkLogic database, using its ability to ingest data as-is and its built-in search engine to deliver fast, advanced indexing and secure access. Rolled out in under six months, the solution integrated siloed content, improved searchability and customer service, and established a scalable, secure foundation for adding future products.
