Rent the Sky Films used Markforged 3D printing (Onyx reinforced with Fiberglass) to solve a mounting and cabling challenge for a handheld 3D camera. They needed a single‑point adapter for eight critical ports that was lightweight, durable, and compact enough to let a 15 lb rig replace conventional 100 lb systems while withstanding repeated use.

Markforged printed a consolidated cable harness that is three times lighter than the machined counterpart and enabled massive cost and time savings.
