Radiant Images prints camera frames 4x faster and 3x cheaper with Markforged

Radiant Images, a developer of camera systems, faced challenges with their previous method of manufacturing the frame for their AXA 360 camera. Their process of machining the part out-of-house from 7075 aluminum was slow and produced a heavy final rig. To overcome this, they turned to Markforged and implemented a solution using their X7 Industrial 3D printer and materials.

By printing the camera frame with Markforged using Onyx and carbon fiber, Radiant Images achieved a significantly better product. The solution from Markforged resulted in a frame that was 4x faster to produce and at a 3x lower cost, while also creating a much lighter rig for their camera system.

Radiant Images
