Manufactura Moderna de Metales (MMM), an automotive components manufacturer with ADDiVAL additive services, needed to shorten response times and produce high‑precision, lightweight fixtures and metal tooling to validate parts under engine vibration and assembly conditions. In pursuit of that goal (reducing lead times from six to two weeks), MMM turned to Markforged and its X7 and Metal X systems to address fixture production, metal tube bending tools, shims and fluid‑handling tubes.

Using Markforged X7 continuous‑fiber printing and the Metal X metal FFF workflow, MMM produced hybrid composite/metal fixtures and end parts that cut cycle time by ~60%, yielded fixture tolerances down to 0.05 mm, and enabled 100% printed fixtures in about three weeks. The program slashed component delivery from an average of 58 days to 14–21 days (with some jobs finished in as little as 3 days), reduced development costs and accelerated validation for customers.
