Cabin Management Solutions - Customer Case Study

Cabin Management Solutions (CMS), a Conroe, Texas–based in-flight cabin management and entertainment systems company founded in 2019, faces frequent low-volume, high-value retrofit and replacement projects for luxury jets that require tight aesthetics, FAA-compliant materials, and rapid turnarounds. To meet these challenges CMS turned to Markforged, deploying two industrial X7 3D printers and materials like Onyx FR and Carbon Fiber to produce flame‑retardant, high-strength parts in-house.

Using Markforged X7 printers and Onyx FR, CMS printed at least 100 different parts for a single jet—including roughly 29 light switch panels, climate controls, chargers, brackets, and more—and electroplated many pieces with gold bezels to match interiors. Markforged’s solution enabled CMS to keep production in-house, speed time to market, reduce outsourcing, deliver FAA-compliant, durable parts with material traceability, and compete with larger companies while maintaining upscale aesthetics.
