Case Study: Bremar Automotion achieves precise race car adjustment with Markforged Metal X 3D printing

A Markforged Case Study

Bremar Automotion unlocks almost limitless adjustment range with Markforged

Bremar Automotion, a Melbourne-based engineering design company, faced challenges in creating precise and reliable adjustment parts for race cars. Traditional camber bolts were clumsy and prone to slipping, while conventional manufacturing imposed size limitations, poor performance, and high costs due to minimum order quantities. To solve this, they turned to their Markforged Metal X 3D printer.

Using the Markforged solution, Bremar designed and 3D printed a custom two-piece serrated washer set from stainless steel. This provided a nearly limitless range of adjustment in a smaller footprint, eliminated the risk of slippage, and allowed for total customization. The results included the ability to produce cost-effective single parts with no minimum orders and dramatically reduced lead times compared to traditional machining.
