Case Study: YMCA fills early learning positions with Marketing for Change

A Marketing for Change Case Study

YMCA fills early learning jobs with Marketing for Change after 1.29 million impressions

The YMCA faced a significant challenge in a competitive job market, struggling to fill early learning teaching positions which left child care seats empty. This shortage prevented parents from returning to work and hindered critical baby brain development programs. The Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation engaged the vendor, Marketing for Change, to help identify new candidate segments and attract recruits.

Marketing for Change conducted research to identify key audience segments and tailored emotional benefits for each, such as working near one's child for moms and regular hours for retail workers. They also created the "You Can Teach!" campaign brand to overcome barriers about required qualifications. This solution helped the YMCA fill all of its open positions. The campaign also generated over 1.29 million impressions and nearly 10,000 website visits, and it sparked the formation of a regional recruiting collaborative.
